How It Works

The central body contains an adjustable V-shaped jaw mechanism. By turning the adjustment handle, the jaws move to accommodate and clamp the square drive of a compatible tap.

Once the tap is securely held, the detachable handle can be installed on the opposite side of the wrench. This creates a balanced T-handle arrangement that allows the user to apply controlled turning force from both sides.

How to Use

1. Secure the Workpiece
Clamp the material firmly in a suitable vice to prevent movement during tapping.

2. Open the Jaws
Adjust the wrench mechanism until there is sufficient space to insert the square shank of the tap.

3. Insert and Secure the Tap
Place the tap centrally between the jaws and tighten the mechanism until it is held firmly.

4. Install the Handle
Fit the detachable handle into the opposite side of the wrench to create the two-sided T-handle configuration.

5. Align the Tap
Position the tap straight and perpendicular to the pre-drilled hole before beginning to cut the thread.

6. Lubricate
Apply an appropriate cutting fluid or threading lubricant suitable for the material.

7. Cut the Thread
Turn the wrench steadily while maintaining alignment. Periodically reverse the tap slightly to break and clear chips before continuing forward.
